Names like Keurig, Melitta and Millstone are all synonymous with coffee pod technology, though there is one name that started it all – Senseo. The Senseo name is a trademark for the Dutch company Philips that introduced the first pod coffee makers to the world market in 2001. Those looking for something a bit fancier will need to take a look at the Senseo SL7832/55, which features an all chrome exterior and an adjustable spout to accommodate different mug sizes. This machine is priced at around $130.00 through Amazon, though we don’t think the difference is worth the extra money.
